On Marine Day, July 19, "EM Clean Up Nationwide Event" launched simultaneously in different sites of Japan throwing EM™ mudballs into seacoast and rivers.
Groups devoted to EM™ activities in Okinawa also joined the EM Clean Up event.
In Itoman City, southern Okinawa, nearby the bridge named Futago, children of Itoman Minami elementary school and parents joined officials of Fishery Cooperative, Itoman City office and staff of EM Research Organization to throw 7,000 EM™ mudballs and inject one ton of Activated EM•1®. Approximately, 5,000 EM™ mudballs introduced this day were made by almost 90 students of Itoman Minami elementary school last April 26.

Itoman City started a movement called "Enrich Sea Environment Event" in 2004 using EM™ mudballs and Activated EM•1®. Thereafter, one ton of Activated EM•1® is being injected weekly.
A total of 81,000 EM™ mudballs achieved up to date thanks to almost 1,400 people who prepared and participated in this significantly cause.
