First, the delegation of participants and EMRO staff visited the commute farm where plantations of tea, lettuce, carrots, cucumbers, broccoli, strawberries, flowers and many more vegetables were grown with EM compost. This compost is produced with the remains of disclosed vegetables, fruits and plants and after crushing them, they make piles of layers of organic matter and sprayed with Activated EM•1®. Each pile is covered with plastic sheets for fermentation process and after one month approximately, the compost is ready to use.

The next visit was to the Nairobi dam where a joint project of the NGO group African Children Education Fund (ACEF), Kenyan government, EM Technologies Ltd. and EM Research Organization, launched a long-term clean up project called Nairobi Dam Water Treatment and Purification Project.
The water hyacinth (native plant) is covering an extensive area of the water surface blocking the sunlight and causing a lack of oxygen in the water.
Therefore, personnel of EM Technologies is leading the operation to remove the hyacinth and process it to convert into EM compost using Activated EM•1® and EM Bokashi.
