In 2000, after the signing of an agreement between The Service of Agriculture and Forestry of Vientiane Municipality and EMRO/INFRC/APNAN, EM Technology™ has been promoted especially for Nature Farming.
EM™ application for organic farming
EM Technology™ is mainly applied in organic farming in Laos. EM™ is used as organic compost. It is reported that a rice crop has better growth condition in EM™ Model District.
EM™ seminars and guidance
The EM™ project division of Vientiane city conducts EM™ seminars and provides guidance in the fields. Vegetables grown with EM Technology™ are shipped to organic agriculture market in Vientiane.
