EM Technologies™, Ltd. was originally established 2004 for the promotion of EM Technology™ on the commercial base and additionally took over the voluntary activities of NGO EM Kenya. Kenya is economically and politically center of Eastern African countries and EM Technology™ has been spread neighboring countries like Tanzania, Rwanda, Uganda and Ethiopia through EM Technologies, Ltd in Kenya.
Kibera Slum Environment Improvement Project
The first phase of the project implemented from 2003 to 2006 to conduct several trial test with EM™ on sanitary treatment and waste recycling. Base on the result from phase one, phase two started on May 2008 to implement the activities on the field. The water hyacinth on the surface of Nairobi dam causes the contamination of water and odors problem around the dam. EM Technology™ is applied for converting the water hyacinth to the quality compost. This activity is assisted by West Nairobi prison for the collection of water hyacinth.
Organic farming school
EM Technologies Ltd. supports the activities of NGO ACEF (African children Education Fund). They teach organic farming with EM Technology™ in the school and agricultural student and farmers from Kenya and neighboring countries come and learn in the school.
Flower farming
Kenya is one of the biggest exporters of flowers around the world. They are mainly exported to European countries and need to meet the high quality regulation of the EU market. In Nyahururu city there are several flower farmers cultivating the flowers with EM™ and Mazabora (EM™ Bokashi) application to improve the quality of flowers and prevent the disease in the green house.
