EM Technology™ was introduced in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia since 2002 by “Rashed Establishment for Trade& Agriculture”. They have succeeded to control the plant disease and improve infertile soil by EM application in the farm. The environmental contamination in urban district is emerging as a serious social issue, and then EM™ treatment for environment especially for water purification is highly expected.
EM compost factory
Rashed Est. has introduced the composting system to make compost from the animal waste since 2007. EM™ is applied for the fermentation process and the compost have a reputation for the quality and odorless.
EM™ treatment in the Riyadh sewage treatment plant
The trial to treat accumulated sludge with EM™ was conducted 2008 and it shows the effect of EM™ on deodorization and reduction of solid waste. Rashed Est. and Riyadh sewage treatment plant are entering the agreement for the production of 10 tons of compost from 1,000 tons of accumulated sludge per day.
Suliman Grape farm
Mr. Suliman in Gassim district has applied EM™ to his 35 hectare grape farm since 2003. Chemical fertilizers and pesticides were reduced in the farm since EM application because EM controls disease and insects and enhance the growth of plants. The fruit has been harvested more than before and the sugar content is also higher due to EM application.
