Sudan is the largest agricultural country in Africa due to its huge fertile land and the water from great Nile river and tropical weather whole the year. EM Sudan is established in 2008 to promote sustainable agriculture with the cooperation of Khartum University.
Collaboration with Ministry of Environment
Minister of Environment of Sudan is keen to introduce the eco-friendly products to solve the environmental problems in Sudan. Dr. Buhkari, representative of EM Sudan and EMRO staff visited Minister of Environment in his office and discussed the practical use and trials with EM™.
EM application in tannery
The waste water from tannery has strong odors and harmful substances. However, the waste water is not well treated as of now and the owner of the factory was looking for the solution. They started using EM™ to reduce the odors.
EM application on tomato farm
One of the biggest tomato farmers in Sudan was suffering from the white mold disease on the leaves. EM application solved the problem of the disease and additionally improved the yield and quality.
