"Zero-Waste Revolution Talk" was held in Colombia.
7 May 2025
Our partner, FUNDASES, introduced the success of the Cajicá Project, a model sustainable waste management initiative.
Previously, Cajicá sent around 32,000 tons of waste to landfills annually, which incurred high costs.
With FUNDASES' support, the city now composts organic waste using EM Bokashi instead.
As a result, 34% of total waste was reused last year.
Cajicá now operates its own EM Bokashi production plant and provides free EM Bokashi and bins to over 40,000 households.
On May 2, FUNDASES participated in a talk titled "Colombia's Zero-Waste Revolution" to share insights from the project with engineers and local officials.
