Mount Alishan, located in the central part of Taiwan, is famous for tea production.
Mr. Guowen Guo’s tea farm, at altitude of 1,150-1,250 meters, is 1.6 ha large and produces about 1,800 kg of tea leaves every year.

Mr. Guo had been using high-grade fertilizers for a long time, however, he did not get the output he expected. So, when one of his friends  recommended using EM, he decided to do so. It’s been 5 years since he started using EM.

Activated EM・1, diluted 500-1,000 times, is sprayed before and after fertilization (3〜4 times per year). Organic fertilizer made from soybeans is applied in this farm.

After he started using EM, a lot of high-qulity leaves started to grow. The output increased about 20~30%. The tea quality was significantly improved. Not only it is more fragrant, but also it can be brewed more times.

Mr. Guo’s tea wins The High Mountain Tea Grading Competition Game of Chiayi County Meishan Township and Agricultural Association almost every year.
