EM･4 for agriculture is basically the same product as EM･1 in other countries. It comes in liquid form and contains different groups of beneficial microorganisms, including lactic acid bacteria, yeast and phototrophic bacteria. Because of the co-existence of these microorganisms, EM･4 and the metabolites it contains are able to activate native microorganisms in soil and compost etc.
